'60s Song

'60s Song—is a gritty, coming-of-age novel of three teenagers during the 1967 ‘Summer of Love.' The story takes place in Philadelphia and explores that turbulent time through the eyes of three teenage friends trying to figure out their young lives: a white kid who receives his draft notice for Vietnam, a black kid waiting to see if he gets into college, and a wealthy, white girl who loves both of them but first must come to terms with her family secrets before she can truly be free. From the race riots to the love-ins, these three friends find out what true friendship is...as well as passion.
